Initially, Emely Hansson's energetic installations give a chaotic impression where objects, drawings and text interact. It is impossible not to be drawn into her often black and white memory archive where Peruvian Inca symbols meet urban graffiti and Norrland nature. It soon becomes clear that there is an order and that she has created her own set of rules for cataloging her experiences, as a tool for communicating with the viewer. Already during Emely's first year at HDK-Valand, she threw herself into new artistic work and research methods where curiosity together high work ethic and an interest in constantly learning has resulted in well-developed artistic projects that over the years have shown in both group and solo exhibitions.
